Providence Health & Services Chief Nursing Officer - North Coast Service Area in Seaside, Oregon

Description:

Providence is calling a Chief Nursing Officer - North Coast Service Area to Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Actively supporting and incorporating the mission and core values into daily activities. Treating all others with respect, while demonstrating excellence, justice, and compassion in daily work and relationships with others.

  • Maintaining confidentiality of all information related to patients, medical staff, employees, and as appropriate, other information.

  • Demonstrating service excellence and positive interpersonal relations in dealing with others, including patients/families/members, employees, managers, medical staff, volunteers, and community members, so that productivity and positive relations are maximized.

  • Consistently demonstrating and incorporating principles of safety and infection control into daily activities as outlined in Environment of Care, Infection Control, and Exposure Control manuals and department safety policies/procedures. Consistently using personal protective equipment as required, while taking appropriate precautions whenever there is potential for contact with blood, body fluids, chemicals and/or other hazardous materials. Maintaining knowledge of work-appropriate aspects environment of care programs, complying with policies, and reporting unsafe conditions. Successfully completing Environment of Care Healthstream modules in the required timeframes, as well as participating in fire drills and emergency exercises.

  • Developing individual objectives consistent with the Providence Health System’s Oregon Management System Measures and reporting on individual objectives quarterly.

  • Displaying consistent commitment to customer service.

  • Exhibiting quality focus and active involvement in improvement of work process.

  • Employing learned methods for achieving improved outcomes.

  • Demonstrating appreciation of team strength in meeting customers’ needs and displaying personal behavior that has a positive impact for the team.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications for this position include:

  • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing, or relevant field.

  • Current, active, and unencumbered RN license in Oregon.

  • Competent, respected and experienced nurse leader with a minimum of 7 years of progressive leadership in nursing and complex health care delivery systems.

  • Relative to BLS Healthcare Provider, a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products, electronic communication systems, electronic medical records.

Preferred professional experience/qualifications for this position include:

  • National Certification in Nursing Administration.

  • Some experience in post-acute/community setting.

  • Relevant nursing leadership and/or health care executive external industry certification
