Providence is calling Housekeeping Attendants to Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, Oregon. These are full-time 40 hour a week positions. We have day & evening shifts available. Shifts are aligned to a rotating schedule and require weekend and holiday availability. These p ositions start at $ 12.75 per hour and include a full benefits package.

We are seeking for a Housekeeping Attendant who will perform environmental services tasks in assigned areas of the Medical Center to provide a sanitary, orderly and attractive environment. Successful performance contributes to a holistic approach to delivery of services, improved patient care, and a high level of satisfaction from patients, families, staff and physicians.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Thoroughly clean and disinfect high touch surfaces daily to prevent spread of infection.
Clean floors by shampooing, vacuuming carpets and mopping tile and vinyl surfaces.
Dispose of all waste in accordance with department, hospital, industry and regulatory standards.
Perform cleaning functions and follows established procedure to meet Infection Prevention, Quality Control and Safety standards.
Collect soiled linen and removes to designated location.
Replenish hand hygiene products, paper products, sharps and pharmaceutical waste containers and other dispensable items as needed.
Move furniture and equipment as needed for cleaning or site relocation.
Clean patient rooms in accordance with dept. and regulatory standards.
Maintain cleanliness of department equipment and reported needed repairs to EVS Supervisor.
Ensure patient identifiers remain out of the regular waste stream.
Meet bed turn around standards to assist with patient placement and throughput.
Sets up conference rooms as needed.
Report needed repairs to appropriate department.
Required qualification for this position includes:
Ability to learn basic computer skills.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, constant interruptions, high volume urgency or issues, and interactions with a wide variety of professionals and personalities.
Must be able to work independently and assume responsibility for job completion in a timely manner.
Recognize situations beyond own knowledge and training and calls for assistance when needed.
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use disinfectants according to department procedures.
Must be able to manipulate carts, wheelchairs, beds, and other equipment.
Ability to pay attention to detail and respond quickly to instructions.
Ability to use digital pager system and computer.
Ability to meet the mental and physical demands of this position
Preferred qualification for this position includes:
- High school diploma or equivalent
