Providence is calling a Maintenance Worker 2 to Facility Services at Providence Seaside Hospital in Seaside, OR. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), rotating/variable shift position.

We are seeking a Maintenance Worker 2 that will maintain, inspects and repairs cold/hot water distribution systems, fixtures, sewer systems, medical gas systems, fire extinguishing systems, and mechanical equipment. Performs minor remodeling, painting and on-call maintenance. May coach and lead Maintenance Worker 1.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Works as a maintenance worker. Training, leadership and guidance is provided by Facility Engineer or Leadership Team.
Responsible for the installation, inspection, maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, electrical systems and mechanical equipment throughout the facility.
Performs complex maintenance of equipment with minimal supervision.
Uses various meters, saws and other hand tools in the performance of job duties.
Learns the use of special tools and equipment.
Performs work in a safe manner following safety rules and regulations.
Attends in service education classes.
Required qualifications for this position includes:
High School Diploma -OR- GED
Graduate of trade school, or technical courses in plumbing, air conditioning, heating
Valid driver's license
State of Oregon DPSST Professional Certification or temporary work permit within 90 days of hire
Five (5) years of experience in Facilities Maintenance (up to 2 years experience may be waived by appropriate schooling in technical courses, along with demonstrated proficiency in the completed course)
Experience using a personal computer with Microsoft applications
